Daily Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. --Matthew 5:10-12

Despite the blessings waiting for those who are persecuted, we can support them in prayer today.

Sunday – Serenity - Philippians 4: 6-7
Pray for a peaceful, trusting heart.
Monday – Maturity - Philippians 4:8
Pray for a deepening faith and knowledge of God.
Tuesday – Tenacity - James 1:12
      Pray for perseverance despite circumstances.
Wednesday – Wisdom - Matthew 10:16
Pray for wisdom about when to share a testimony and when to remain quiet.
Thursday – Thanksgiving - Colossians 2:6-7
Pray for a spirit of thankfulness, rather than bitterness, to grow.
Friday – Friends - Ecclesiastes 3:12.
Pray for true friends that will encourage and inspire.
Saturday – Safety – Psalm 91:9-16
Pray for the God’s protection of Christians in the Persecuted Church.

If you find yourself thinking that you can use prayer in these areas yourself, consider fasting on the day that represents your own greatest need.

Giving cheerfully - by Danilo Soares de Carvallo

The Church of Mapunda (Angola) has already surpassed its target for the Alabaster offering. Praise the Lord for the faithfulness and generosity of its members. Thanks to those who have contributed with their offerings.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

A revolutionary change in my life - Tarryn Jody Nathan

When I first heard about this district missions trip, I already said there was no way that I was going to go. After much prayer and motivation from the team leader, Stephen Phillips, as well as a mission's workshop that first ignited the desire, I decided that I was going.
